The Dutch designer Maarten Baas, famous for its ability to burn its collection of bizarre design, artistic and original, continues to exercise its style that does not conforms to nothing and nobody.

Capovolgendo the tendency to reproduce additional furniture in plastic, has produced a wooden chair, inspired by the classic outdoor chair, comfortable, indestructible and super economy.

Based on the Eastern tradition, the eclectic designer has challenged Chinese producers generating a meeting point between the western design techniques and traditional Chinese. After their presence at the Salone del Mobile 2008, in July its interpretations will be on display at Contrasts Gallery in Shanghai.

Witness Mighty how experimental design will fit perfectly into the home landscape, the armchair Corallo, made by Fernando and Humberto Campana in 2004, with its interweaving irregular and hypnotic, with the structure of steel eclectic and indestructible, continues to talk about itself.

After being host of the stand Edra during Week Mobile 2008, the chair was donated to the MAK Museum in Vienna and will be exposed for the first time in the exhibition Formless Furniture from 27 May until 26 October 2008.

Ask anyone. Most people define the coffee break as one of the most sacred and corroboranti the day. If you take the coffee, especially for us Italians is a pleasure, the design in more than one occasion has spoken with a gesture of true love towards our passion.

Antigone Acconci and Riccardo Bastiani from to-rstudio, have consecrated this moment with a set of cups capable of representing the Made in Italy “in its essence. The saucer is the silhouette of a man with open arms, which expects its cup red as the heart. Esposte during Week Mobile 2008, the Thimble Cup with their nostalgic irony and fun, have represented our love for the coffee and design in the host.

“Goen” in Japanese means “round relationship” and this is the name of sitting made by designers and Shinobu Setsu Ito for Plast Collection.

Produced entirely recyclable plastic, “Goen” is the outdoor armchair shaped fluid that accompanies the ergonomics of the body and invites him to lean sideways favouring a protensione towards its neighbour.

An object that accurate, approached the table Enta, transforms the garden into an area of natural dialogue.

Bomi Kim is a young U.S. designer who is highlighting for its ability to achieve small electronic objects with emphasis on how to use and adaptability of the products themselves.

One example is “Meaning of Time”, a real wall clock from extremely small size.

The particularity of this watch is personalization: in fact, “Meaning of Time” is fixed to the wall via two special forums in which you can insert two pencils, two twigs or anything else we can transform into two hands.

A project extremely flexible, the result of a designer of which still hear talk in the future.

The Italian study Sovrappensiero attended the Salone Satellite 2008 with a collection of products investigating the difficult, but in some ways also fascinating world of non vendenti.

A condition, that of the blind leading the development of all other senses and leads to an interior more sensitive and characterized by a certain capacity introspective.

That is why I am born projects such as “Autumn”, a particular carpet “sound” filled with special materials, thus, in the silence of marble and wooden floors of our house our steps as playing on a carpet of leaves.

And then there’s “Soap Opera”, a framework that lives through the user, making him a more intimate and direct contact through the skin and olfactory, overcoming barriers and distances taxes sight. The work is not finished, but is only half of his journey; needs of ‘ “observer” to continue to live, of telling whether, in a backward…
