Project Runaway: Season 4
Posted in Designer, Designer Accessory, Fashion, Style, Trends on 21 January 2008

Project Runaway

These awe- inspiring apparels are so pretty and modern that the charm of all the wonderful fashion weeks that we had witnessed last year fades away. It is something aesthetic in the true sense. I love the innovations that have come forward with this project. At least, the fashion designers have come out of their cocoon- like mind which is full of ideas related to utility and the comfort level.

These pieces are actually works of art. They speak for themselves and display that they are the creations of beautiful minds. I was very sure that the cohesion of two very innovative designers would lead to marvelous outcome. Chris as well as Christian is already renowned in the fashion circle for their innovative style. This very unconventional outfit on the left has been made from 40 yards of organza. I am simply awe-struck by their creation. Just look at the intricacy with which the outfit is designed. The imagination behind the product is just incredible.

The piece on the right is also very chic, but I don’t find it as unconventional or different as the former. It has been designed for commercial purpose. It can prove to be an ultimate outfit for the modern women. Jillian and Rami have also come out with flying colors. I especially liked the designer wear created by Ramie. These were all in a Grecian-inspired appearance. All the outfits were beautifully designed.

Luxurious Satin Ballet Shoes
Posted in Designer, Fashion, Shoes, Style, Trends on 15 January 2008

Satin Ballet ShoesÂ
These satin ballet shoes are so beautiful and luxurious that I can ignore that they are not very strong and useful. I know that they are not long lasting, but who wants something that goes on and on for ages. I actually love things that are very trendy and which make me feel elegant. The very look of them is so tempting that I just cannot resist them. I can really feel the high comfort level that they will provide to my pampered feet. Can you not feel it?
These satin ballet pumps are rather impractical for those who crave for things, which are strong and eternal. But, those who are fashionable and stylish want to move on in life. They never stick to the same thing even for a month. I want these shoes especially as my bedroom shoes because they ooze with a warm and cozy feel. The elastic fit of this pair ensures an appealing fit for your soft feet. The beige color also reflects a luxurious taste. You can make them yours only for ÂŁ22. Check them out at Accessorize. They are too lovely to be overlooked!

Adorn Your Neck: Necklaces and Pendants For 2008
Posted in Designer, Designer Accessory, Fashion, Jewelry, Style, Trends on 9 January 2008

Necklaces

Necklaces and pendants will also get a bold makeover for 2008. The layered look is gone and the choker makes a strong statement for this year. It’s versatility at using natural elements, glowing or shiny metals, and large gemstones make it ideal for a look that uses both. Gold will be used as well as new metals like tungsten and titanium for settings that highlight the gemstones and not the metal. The idea here is to have a few simple and beautiful pieces to wear instead of a multiplicity of distracting elements.

That means that a pendant may be worn alone or with earrings, however, too many accessories like additional bracelets and brooches will lessen the impact of each individual piece. So, keep it simple, and remember that less is more. In order to give each piece its focuses attention, sweep up the hair and let the jewelry shine forth. Use dresses that show off the jewelry instead of hiding it, with long sweeping necklines and v-necked outfits.

If you plan on giving necklaces and pendants as gifts to your bridal party, you can still opt to give them with big symbols of the occasion like a single heart with a large crystal, meshing the natural with the gemstone motif again. This jewelry trend is for the daring and classy, but a few classy pieces don’t have to break the bank if you know what to choose. Pendants should be large and seek to draw attention to themselves with large gemstones that can be neutral in color and semi-precious like citrine or smoky quartz.

Feel Metallic with Kate Spade’s Handbag
Posted in Designer, Designer Accessory, Fashion, Luxurious, Style on 13 December 2007

Feel Metallic with Kate Spade’s Handbag

I find the handbag collection by Kate Spade as something different from the casual trend. The collection, in my opinion, speaks for itself. The handbag which I like the most these days is this ‘Belle Isle Francis’ Handbag. This one is the ultimate piece for those who don’t follow the mob and want to have accessories which are unique in themselves.Â
This unstructured bag is actually the classic example of the collection presented by the designer Kate Spade. This uncommon bag is trendy and elegant at the same time. The hobo is the perfect bag to be carried in parties. I am sure that you cannot resist this bag featuring an overlay of metallic stone print. I love the style and design. The tiny strap and the buckles on either side give it a very pretty look.
 Â
The suede and the 14 karat gold-plated hardware are enough to ensure the splendor and magnificence of the bag. This kind of handbag will really make you feel different if you plan to carry it to a discotheque.
 Â
The price of this elite bag is nothing more than $825. Do you think that it is worth it? Do keep me posted with your point of view.
