We have already talked about Matthias Zaeh aka Maz Zaeh, industrial designers Zurich realized that design projects freely inspired by mathematical models and geometric structures. After the chair Unfold, the Hilberts chair is the demonstration of how math can inspire, change and structure design.
The discovery curve by mathematician David Hilbert in 1891 suggested the prototype of an endless cycle of felt. The design of sitting is closely linked to the potential of material used and the technique used to define it. Maz Zaeh has shaped the felt, indurendolo in strategic points to give him stability and ammorbidendolo the more suitable to allow a sitting warm and comfortable. A prototype remarkable, sought in its simplicity and engaging in the structure.
